You can have an opinion on activewear without having one on underwear. Bare Thrills started because the women who built it realised they didn't — and that was the problem. We obsess over what we wear on the outside while quietly putting up with discomfort underneath, every day.

The brand was founded on the same three F's a good piece of activewear gets: Fit. Feel. Function. Underwear that sits where you put it, feels like nothing by 9am, and does its job whether you're walking the dog, in a Pilates class, on your feet for a 12-hour shift, or in a meeting that runs into dinner.

Then there's a fourth F: Future. A real one — not a marketing one. The recycled fibres came out of testing for performance and durability, and the most sustainable choice happened to also be the most comfortable. The nylon is GRS-certified — there's a paper trail, not a slogan.

Bare Thrills changed hands in September 2024 and is now run by a small team based across regional NSW and Sydney — long-time friends and colleagues with backgrounds in clothing production, technology, and athletics. We're carrying on the founders' work with one product, done properly: distraction-free underwear. No riding, no chafing, no damp feeling, no lines, no fuss. The kind you forget you're wearing.

Two lanes have dominated underwear for too long. Lane one — sexy via lace, push-up, costume. Often uncomfortable, tied to one body type, one moment. Lane two — performance underwear that's comfortable but stripped of femininity. Charcoal, mesh panels, "engineered for athletes."
